Charles Randall Cowdrey

Charles “Chuck” Randal Cowdrey of Covina, CA died August 3, 2020 from complications of Covid-19. Chuck was born in San Francisco, CA to the late Charles and Helen Cowdrey on November 10, 1942 where he resided before he was drafted into the United States Army. Chuck bravely served his country during the Vietnam War and proudly displayed his veteran status daily for all to see. When not working in distribution with 7up and Classic Distributing and Beverage, Chuck could be found bowling his heart out (in his younger years) and running the tables at the local pool hall. Chuck was a talented pool player and took great pride in teaching the game to his children and anyone that wanted to learn. Chuck was also an avid participant in water aerobics at his local gym. He was always up for having a good time, whether it be at an amusement park, sporting event, poker on his tablet, or treating you to the best burger in town. Most of all, Chuck loved his family, and quietly made sure their wishes were met. A birthday never passed without a card and a check from Dear Old Dad. Chuck is survived by his 3 children, Shauna Cowdrey of Leland, NC, Sharisse Cowdrey of Covina, CA, and Chas Cowdrey of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by his precious grandson, Aiden Cowdrey, of Covina, CA, ex-wife and friend of 16 years, Sharon Cowdrey of Hesperia, CA, brother, Robert Cowdrey (Sheila) of Foster City, CA, sister, Alexis Carpenter (Don) of Stockton, CA, Jeff and Sandy Lee (brother/sister-in-law) of Covina, CA, father-in-Law, Edgar Olson of Johnson Valley, CA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. For now, our hearts are heavy, and our grief is unbearable, but we know it’s not just goodbye, but “say goodnight kid.” A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00am in Alta Loma, CA at the home of Brett and Kris Swaim.
